Coffee Bavarian with Chocolate cake
Prep time: 30 minutes
Serving size: 8 cups
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
5 cups left over chocolate cake crumbs or Fudgee Barr (crumbs)
2 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chip
1/4 cup cold water
1 envelope unflavored gelatine
2 eggs, separated (room temperature)(pasteurized)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon vanila extract
1/2 cup strong black coffee
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup cocoa powder (add more if needed)
Steps
In microwavable bowl add butter, chocolate chip and milk, microwave for 30 seconds then stir until all combine. Add the cake crumbs, stir until well bended. Then set aside.
In small container soften the gelatin in the water, then set aside.
In the top container of double boiler, beat the egg yolk, sugar then add salt and milk continue stirring. Cook over hot water, stirring constantly until slightly thicken, then add the gelatin mixture until dissolved, add coffee. Take out from heat, then add vanilla. Then set aside
Beat the egg white until stiff, gradually add the remaining sugar. Whip the cream until slightly stiff, fold the gelatin mixture with egg whites. (make sure the gelatin mixture are slightly chill.)
Cake assembly. Put 1/4 cup of cake mixture to the cups as the video demonstration. Add the coffee Bavarian cream on top of it and dash it with cocoa powder.
Chill then serve
