What impact does it have on immigrants and minority groups when they are asked to give up their native language? This talk considers the impact of linguistic injustice on the health and wellbeing of indigenous peoples in Canada, but it also has broad implications for the U.S. and abroad.
Andrew Renick received an MPA from the University of Western Ontario and is a student in the master’s program in social work at BYU.
Kevin Shafer is an associate professor of sociology at BYU.
