Are we truly living a life of our own choices, or are we simply following invisible programs installed by society, family, and conditioning?
In this powerful and introspective talk, Sweta Samota explores how many of the beliefs we live by, about careers, education, gender roles, safety, and success, are inherited illusions that silently shape our decisions. Through her personal journey from a small town in Maharashtra to becoming an engineer, entrepreneur, author, and mentor to thousands, she shares how questioning these assumptions transformed her life.
From breaking traditional expectations to navigating failure, fear, and self-doubt, she explains how new visions can replace limiting beliefs. Her message is simple yet profound: the moment we consciously choose what we believe, we begin to design our own lives.
This talk encourages the audience to become aware of the invisible conditioning around them, challenge it, and create new visions that align with who they truly want to become. Sweta Samota is an author, entrepreneur, and founder of Visions Academy and the Likhega India Mission. She has helped over 10,000 individuals write, publish, and market their books while building their personal brands.
Coming from a small town in Maharashtra and an orthodox family background, she broke social barriers to become the first engineer in her family and later built her own entrepreneurial journey. Her experiences with failure, fear, and reinvention led her to focus on mindset transformation and belief reprogramming.
Through her work, she encourages people to challenge inherited limitations, create new visions for themselves, and design lives driven by purpose and passion. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
