What’s powerful is that this late-winter threshold isn’t unique to Hinduism. Around the same time, Christians enter Lent, leading to Easter (also tied to the full moon). Jews celebrate Purim and prepare for Passover. Muslims may observe Ramadan depending on the lunar cycle. And Nowruz marks the spring equinox itself.
