Live from the Calder Stage during Festival of the Arts 2019
Video production by GRTV Public Access of Grand Rapids. A service of the Community Media Center.
Every summer, GRTV broadcasts the Festival of the Arts live from downtown Grand Rapids on Comcast Cable Channel 24. With the help of volunteers of all ages & experiences. A hands-on production experience open to anyone in the community. Over the course of one weekend, more than 40 volunteers run camera, audio, video graphics and direct. In addition to our main stage coverage, we also have a street team that captures the rest of Festival through interviews and exploring all that Festival has to offer.This opportunity is open to the entire community, all ages 13+ welcome, with several positions available for people with mobility impairments as well. No experience is necessary. With GRTV staff on site to train & assist. All in support for the volunteer-run Festival of the Arts and a full weekend of a variety of performances & artists.
