The Autism Society Philippines launched the HOMEpowerment program in 2018, realizing that therapy for children with #autism is not enough without the follow through at home. It has been our collective experience that home intervention has the potential to be more powerful than all the other therapies, with the right implementation.

Parents who cannot afford therapy or are in areas without therapists MUST NOT feel helpless. They must commit to learning about autism, and must seek evidence-based knowledge and coaching from capable professionals to learn how to help their own children.

The ASP HOMEpowerment program, which provided free therapy for children below 8 years old and parent training on program implementation at home, has planted seeds of hope. We aspire that the next year will bring more opportunities (and resources) to empower more families who live and love with autism -- thanks to partners like Quality Life Discoveries, Inc and Kiehl's Philippines. #AutismOKPH
