The Big Story | A drop in fertility rate has been a growing cause of concern for economies around the world. South Korea has the lowest fertility rate in the world at 0.72 followed by Taiwan at 1.1 and Spain at 1.16. Back home, India's fertility rate is projected to drop to 1.29 by 2050 and 1 in 5 Indians will be above the age of 60 by then. So, in order to protect India from a similar crises as the one that South Korea is facing, do we need a 3-child norm?
