Описание: San Diego Gas & Electric uses an APA-5-U to lift line workers and equipment up to an energized 500 kV line for an insulator knuckle change-out. The APA-5-U is a battery powered personnel-rated hoist that works with standard climbing equipment, enabling easy and safe positioning of people and materials. Its 600 lb load capacity is good for two people, greatly easing rescue operations, and can be combined with normal haul systems to lift even heavier loads. Rigged as shown in this video but with an additional haul system positioned on the tower, the ascender can even be used to lift the conductor itself to release tension on the insulator string for a live glass change out.
