Howdy Folks and welcome to Do & Brew!
We just completed a complete kitchen remodel. To say this was an extensive kitchen remodel is an understatement.
We demo'd everything - down to the studs and floor joists. Some of the floor joists had to be replaced, then we put in a new, level sub-floor in preparation for cement and a large format tile. We also completely re-wired and updated the electrical in this kitchen - GFCI protected outlets and dedicated circuits for large appliances...all up to current code requirements. We removed the non-load bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room to allow for the install of a granite peninsula counter top with bar stool seating in the dining room - this really opened up this kitchen without adding any additional square feet to the kitchen's floor plan. Of course I'll cover priming and painting in this series just prior to installing beautiful alabaster white semi-custom shaker style cabinet and granite counter top install. Then we'll finish out the remodel with custom lighting and beautiful custom craftsman style finish carpentry.
