"I hope I can make it." Even elite athletes have doubt. As Frank "Wrath" McGrath cuts water and nears the end of his long journey to the Lou Ferrigno Legacy Show, he musters up every last ounce of determination to see things through. The mark of a champion is not where he places or whether he ever doubts himself – it's how he deals with those doubts and pushes through them. During this last stage, Frank meditates an an item that takes him back to his childhood – his father’s jacket. As Frank says, “I used to get inside and zip it up. I might as well have been in a sleeping bag it was so big. Now I put it on and it’s tight... It’s strange how things change.” This jacket he took with him when he returned to Newfoundland to bury his father. Today, it serves as a reminder of the man whose large shoes Frank still wants to fill; the man who overcomes his doubts and fears to achieve something lasting. Frank McGrath is almost there.
