In this video i am covering Tom MacDonald's new single - Me vs You. Tom MacDonald is a rapper, musician and a songwriter who gained a lot of attention in the last few years due to his political and controversial lyrics. Songs such a Fake Woke, Brainwashed and The System are now considered classics by Tom MacDonald's fandom, also known as Hangover Gang. At the same time his music also got a lot of hate from the left. Tom MacDonald first rose on the scene after releasing his first single Dear Rappers in 2018 and quickly cemented himself as a controversial rapper with releases such as White Boy, Straight White Man and No Lives Matter. Eventually even callaborating with Ben Shapiro on his song Facts.

I view Tom as more than a rapper since he has ventured into other genres such as rock, country and pop on some occasions. I also don't think Tom MacDonald is a typical conservative and Republican. He certainly has strong right wing leanings but he also seems to possess awareness of how the media and the elites are working to divide people and that the whole left wing and right wing divide is there to pin people against each other.

His newest single, Me vs You is one of Tom's few political music videos with a clear running concept. Tom MacDonald portrays both sides of the American politics playing both a part of a conservative Trump supporter and a progressive Biden supporter. In both cases the presented arguments seem more like name-calling rather than an actual conversation or debate. It perfectly captures the current political climate and people's antagonistic views towards each other.

In this video i am sharing my thought on Tom MacDonald's song Me vs You and talk a bit about how the elites and the media is weaponising the complexity of disagreement to divide people.
