Practice Speed: 60 bpm

Techniques: Hajiki (pull-of with the sao-hand ハ)

Scale: same as e.g. Sakura, Ringo Bushi: 0-1-4-6-7-10

Some quick info about the song: “Kouta” literally translates to “Little Song” and is one of the larger genres of traditional shamisen music. It got to be closely associated with the music of Geisha. This ties nicely to the second part of the song’s name, “Gion”. Gion is a famous Geisha district in Kyoto. And that’s what the song revolves around. The piece was composed in the 1930s by Kouka Sassa.
