My winch rope is a couple of years old and it's also not attached properly to the drum. So, I replace it with a 9mm x 30m winch rope from Kings. I also attach it to the drum with the Winchline Grabber from Bubbarope. Then I convert the old synthetic Winch Rope to a winch extension rope by splicing an eye in the end of it.
I can't wait to test them.
