Hi everyone and welcome back to the Diary of the Mediterranean
Today we have a friend visiting, so we decided to take her on a little road trip to some beautiful, lesser-known places. The weather was perfect!
-Forte Albertino di Vinadio – A quick coffee stop a historic fort high in the mountains with amazing views all around
-Pietraporzio – a quiet village with charming streets and a great view of the dam
-Colle della Maddalena – a scenic mountain pass as we cross into France
-Jausiers – a small village tucked in the Alps, perfect for a short stroll
-Barcelonnette – colorful streets and Alpine charm to finish our journey
On the way back to Italy, we drove at sunset and the mountains were glowing in golden/pink light
