Celebrating 50 Years (1976–2026)
The Stephen Holston Chapter of the Tennessee Society, Sons of the American Revolution, hosted its annual George Washington Luncheon to commemorate the life, leadership, and enduring legacy of General George Washington, while celebrating 50 years of service by the Chapter.
The event was held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the historic Ramsey House in Knoxville, Tennessee, and brought together compatriots, guests, and community leaders to honor Patriot ancestors and reflect on the founding principles of the American Republic.
Program Highlights Included:
Formal opening ceremonies with a Color Guard presentation
The SAR Mission Statement and SAR Pledge
Installation of Officers
Award presentations
Reflections on the legacy of George Washington
Fellowship and luncheon in a historic setting
Featured Speaker:
Dr. Arthur M. Bohanan
Internationally recognized forensic researcher, author, U.S. Army veteran, and founding figure of the National Forensic Academy at the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Bohanan’s presentation explored his groundbreaking work locating lost and unmarked graves, uncovering forgotten histories, and restoring identity and dignity to those who came before us—including Patriots, veterans, and early settlers across East Tennessee.
📺 Dr. Bohanan’s presentation will be featured as part of the Our Patriots’ Legacies series, which highlights stories, scholarship, and service that preserves and honors America’s Revolutionary heritage.
