Описание: This tutorial video in probability focuses on the examples of various non-mutually exclusive events. Specifically, it shows the correct calculation of the union of two non-mutually exclusive events using the addition rule in probability. It includes the correct way of checking if the events are non-mutually exclusive events or not. The full calculations are shown for each, together with the corresponding illustration for each problem.

This is another tutorial video in the series of math tutorial videos on probability. This is usually taught in class 10 (grade 10 maths) or class 11 (grade 11 maths).

This video starts with a recall of the prerequisite concepts: difference between mutually exclusive and non-mutually exclusive events and basic probability concepts such as experiment, sample space and events. The links are as follows:

🎥 Experiment, Sample Space and Events [shorts]: https://bit.ly/3nrF2em

A recall of the differences between mutually exclusive events and non-mutually exclusive events is done at the beginning, together with a Venn diagram representation for each type of events events. Probability rule for non-mutually exclusive events is also presented.

This video contains 3 examples of non-mutually exclusive events from various experiments. Some of them are about deck of cards, tossing a coin, and number cards. The processes in each of the methods are shown in a step-by-step manner.

At the end of the video, a homework is given for you that serves as your independent practice in finding the probability of non-mutually exclusive events. When you are done answering the items, you may write your answers in the comment section.
