Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is a special nationwide drive organized by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to update, correct, and verify the Electoral Roll (Voter List).
During this period, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) visit every household to verify voter details, collect new applications, and ensure that the electoral roll remains accurate and up to date.

The goal is to ensure that:

Eligible citizens aged 18+ are included in the voter list.

Names of deceased or shifted voters are deleted.

Incorrect entries are corrected.

Address and personal details are properly updated.



This process ensures that every eligible citizen can exercise their right to vote and participate in democracy effectively.

Understanding Enumeration (House-to-House Verification):

During the enumeration phase, the BLO or designated officer visits households in every polling area.
The BLO collects the following details:

Full Name,Date of Birth / Age,Address,Gender,Relationship with head of family,Details of other voters in the same household

Enumeration helps identify:
