124慈しみ深く／あなたの僕のために計らってください。あなたの掟をわたしに教えてください。
125わたしはあなたの僕です。あなたが分からせてくだされば／あなたの定めを知ることができます。
Deal with your servant according to your love
and teach me your decrees.
125 I am your servant; give me discernment
that I may understand your statutes.

ペトロの手紙一２章１１節～１７節
11愛する人たち、あなたがたに勧めます。いわば旅人であり、仮住まいの身なのですから、魂に戦いを挑む肉の欲を避けなさい。
12また、異教徒の間で立派に生活しなさい。そうすれば、彼らはあなたがたを悪人呼ばわりしてはいても、あなたがたの立派な行いをよく見て、訪れの日に神をあがめるようになります。
13主のために、すべて人間の立てた制度に従いなさい。それが、統治者としての皇帝であろうと、
14あるいは、悪を行う者を処罰し、善を行う者をほめるために、皇帝が派遣した総督であろうと、服従しなさい。
15善を行って、愚かな者たちの無知な発言を封じることが、神の御心だからです。
16自由な人として生活しなさい。しかし、その自由を、悪事を覆い隠す手だてとせず、神の僕として行動しなさい。
17すべての人を敬い、兄弟を愛し、神を畏れ、皇帝を敬いなさい。

11 Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. 12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing
wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the
supreme authority, 14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. 15 For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. 16 Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. 17 Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.
