This is a video on the quirks of replacing the radiator drain (sometimes known as a petcock) on my 2003 RAM 2500 Cummins. This drain was used on several different years and models and is easily spotted by the flat seal used on it instead of an o-ring used on later drains.
The difficult in replacing this drain is in the removal of the threaded insert that snaps into the radiator. In the video I demonstrate how to use a wire to pull on the insert while disengaging the two locking ears with a small flat screwdriver. A very difficult job under the truck becomes quite easy.
