A Rattleback is carved in a special half-ellipsoid form which only allows it to freely spin one way. Rattlebacks are a logic defying, fun science experiment that can be used to demonstrate center of gravity and physics. Rattlebacks were originally called "Celts Stones" after they were accidentally discovered by archaeologists who were searching for ancient axes and other tools. This unassuming, seemingly ordinary shaped object will spin freely in one direction, but will actually stop and reverse direction if spun the other way!
