A Silent Betrayal were a 5-piece Post-Hardcore/Metalcore band from Geelong, Australia which most famously featured Damien "Damo" Morris as the lead vocalist -- a founding member and vocalist for the iconic, Australian deathcore band The Red Shore. The band also consisted of bassist Paul Jackson, guitarists Jaclyn Poole & Mat Dawson, and drummer Adam Dawson.

Following the disbandment of A Silent Betrayal in 2004, Damo joined forces with drummer Richard Johnson, bassist Jamie Hope, and guitarist Jason Leombruni to form The Red Shore. After releasing a demo and an EP in 2005 ("Salvaging What's Left"), The Red Shore added a second guitarist, Roman Koester.

In December of 2007, during The Red Shore's support of American deathcore band All Shall Perish on their Australian "Christmas Carnage" tour, Damo was tragically killed when The Red Shore's van veered off of the Pacific Highway north of Coffs Harbour, AU. The Red Shore's driver/merchandiser, Andy Milner, was also tragically killed in the accident.

The Red Shore went on to release two additional full-length releases and one compilation album. Their 2008 full-length debut (‘Unconsecrated’) featured Damo posthumously on vocals for his three final recorded songs — “The Garden Of Impurity” / “The Architects Of Repulsion” / “The Forefront Of Failure”.

Damo's vocals live on... whether featured in Signify Have Letter, A Silent Betrayal, or The Red Shore, Damo's vocals, lyrics, and overarching greater contribution to music have & always will be unmatched.
