Anybody miss having these briefing style intros to the start of the missions? I guess character modeling, cinematics, and other tech has come a ways since 2009 but a fantastic remaster nonetheless. RIP multiplayer though. Hopefully this compilation of briefings/in game cutscenes does a well enough job showing off what a great campaign this was!

General Shepherd will be returning in Modern Warfare II. Now voiced and modeled after Glenn Morshower instead of the Shepherd seen here. Morshower voiced NORAD HQ and Overlord in MW2. Shepherd's intentions are unknown in the Reboot timeline.
Shadow Company PMC was not introduced in MW2019 until Season 5 Warzone update, under the Allegiance banner rather than the Coalition. They seem to be present in the new Modern Warfare II campaign under the direction of Commander Graves and is working with Task Force 141 at the moment.
Familiar antagonists Al-Asad and Zakhaev Jr. are featured in the Reboot timeline in the Warzone/Spec Ops story.
In Modern Warfare 2 (2009) MP, there were plenty more factions to play as. To name a few: Army Rangers, Spetsnaz, Navy Seals, Militia etc. Kinda miss this style of MP organization but I guess the new way helps sell Operator skins I suppose.
