December of 2019, Corona Virus emerged and ruled the world. To date the total number of cases confirmed in Nepal is 714,877 of which 669,299 have recovered while 10,099 have lost their lives, whereas there are still 35,485 active cases (MoHP).
On the 19th of March, the government of Nepal declared the suspension of all the classes and postponed academic examinations including the Secondary level. Schools and colleges were opened for just 3 months, then again the second wave put to an end of physical classes. To date, that there is uncertainty in the opening of schools physically.
According to Nepal’s Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, the nation is home to approximately seven million students, with more than five million, has enrolled in government-funded public schools between 2017 and 2018. Nepal has forcibly adopted online teaching-learning techniques which are creating a digital divide just because poor people are lacking an adequate number of devices and proper internet facilities. Having 5 million students enrolled in government schools, it's an enormous challenge for a government school to cope up with the pandemic and provide online education. Therefore, the Government of Nepal has to focus on education policies and try to evaluate the current situation and come up with suitable solutions.

So, here Pokhara Research Centre presents how a government school (Bal Mandir Secondary School) from Pokhara embraces the pandemic situation and continues online education.
