Alright engine builders, what’s the best carburetor set to put on our beloved 1977 Kawasaki USA KZ 1000, punched out to 1197, 10.5:1, .395 Web Camshafts and no major head work with stock sized valves? Currently we have a great set of 34 RS Radial Flat slide Mikuni Carburetors. These have been wonderful but sound a little funny on idle. Larry "Spiderman" McBride likes 33s and others , KZ expert Bruce Sauer likes the 29 smoothbores for anything under 1200 c.c. Let me know your opinion of what’s best and what I should do - leave the 34s or put something else on?
