Описание: When top roping, the rope is threaded through a pulley system at the top of the wall, one side of the rope is tied to your harness, and the other is connected to your belayer through a belay device. As the climber moves up the wall, the belayer takes in slack. If the climber falls, they maintain their position on the wall since there isn’t any slack in the system.
