Today we will conduct our walking tour of Prague in the evening. We will walk through the Old Town, along Pařížská street to Old Town Square, and from there along Celetná street to Republic Square.
01:00 Pařížská Street traverses the Jewish Town of Prague, connecting Old Town Square with Čechův Bridge. It is lined with stately townhouses whose façades combine historicist features with the decorative detail of Art Nouveau. Pařížská Street in Prague is the most prestigious boulevard, home to a wide range of luxury boutiques representing the world's most prominent fashion brands.

08:00 Old Town Square is Prague's oldest and most important square. It is surrounded by historical buildings such as the Old Town City Hall with the famous Astronomical Clock, the imposing St. Nicholas Church and Church of Our Lady before Tyn, and many houses and palaces of various architectural styles and colorful history. It has been a center of Prague's Old Town since the middle ages when it was a marketplace crossing European merchants' roads. The first houses were built around the Old Town Square in the 12 and 13 centuries. Some present homes still have Romanesque or Gothic foundations, basements, or ground floors. The Old Town City Hall was built in the 14 century and the Church of Our Lady before Tyn a little later. The Old Town Square became Prague Old Town's economic and political center.

12:00 Celetná is a street in the Old Town, Prague, connecting the Old Town Square with the Powder Gate. It is one of Prague's oldest streets and part of the Royal Route. Although, Celetná is a former Prague trade route. The street is named after bread baked in the area during the Middle Ages. It became a part of the Royal Route in the 14th century (The coronation parade).

17:15 The Powder Tower is one of Old Town's original 13 city gates in Prague. Its construction began in 1475. The tower was intended to be an attractive entrance into the city instead of a defensive tower. The foundation stone was placed by Vladislav II. The city council gave Vladislav II the tower as a coronation gift. While it was being built, it was called the New Tower. The tower's look was inspired by Peter Parler's work on the Charles Bridge.

19:00 Republic Square (Náměstí Republiky) is situated on the site of the former moat between the Old and New Towns. The ample open space near the medieval city center inspired the construction of several significant buildings at the turn of the 20th century, such as the Municipal House (Obecní dům) near the Powder Tower (Prašná brána), the Hybernia House (Dům U Hybernů) and the Jiří z Poděbrad Barracks. A large part of the square is now a pedestrian zone connecting the two large shopping centers, Palladium and Kotva.
