Around 12.1 km distance this new line project has been completed. Chinna Salem - Kallakurichi New line distance is around 16.20. As of now only 12.1 km distance new line work has been completed.
Remaining stretch work needs to be complete. Once it's done this new line project will be fully completed.
From Porpadakurichi railway station, Kallakurichi Town distance is less than 5 km. This new line project started in 2016. Finally after many years delay now partially ( till Podatturpettai ) New line work has been completed.
