We leave Kuala Lumpur and travel north to the Cameron Highlands. The weather was wet almost all the time, which helped spoil anything that may have been pleasurable! We climbed over 1,500 metres on fairly narrow poor roads. It made several of us wonder why we bothered?
After leaving the Cameron Highlands we visited a World War II cemetery, then the beautiful Taiping Lake Gardens. Following this we went to Orang Utan Island Bukit Merah and saw the primates living in their natural habitat.
Finally we cross over to Penang Island for our next few days.
