‎ Welcome to Lone Duck Outfitters and Kennels! In this video we talk about about using a soft glove to begin hold conditioning as the veryyyy first step toward force fetch. You'll notice that our buddy, Luca, isn't used to holding a gloved hand in his mouth so he tries to roll his tongue to spit it out but we wait to "reward" him with removing it until he relaxes his body and accepts having it in there. In this very short amount of time, Luca goes from being unsure about things to accepting the gloved hand and starting to piece together the thought process of "if I just hold this, I get what I want faster."

This is step one in a very detailed and sequential process for properly force fetching your dog. It doesn't need to be hard or scary or anything crazy but it can be intimidating.
