All mythologies are tough puzzles to piece together, because these stories are thousands of years old. There are many interpretations of every single Norse myth, and even more contradictions among these interpretations. Different people have different sources that they trust and trusted, so over time… Norse Mythology became somewhat of a hot mess. Look no further than people not even agreeing that there were 9 realms — something most of believe to be the foundation of Norse Mythology. For the sake of this video — and all my videos — I try to streamline these tales as much as possible and leave out some details that might make the videos less fun, while also picking and choosing whichever interpretations I see fit.
So... is this accurate and well researched? Absolutely, 100%. Is this the only interpretation or way of telling you about Odin? No, but subjectively speaking… it’s the way I liked it the most.
