iMac Video Card Bake Update 2020

Описание: Video card in late 2009 iMac still going strong after 2.5 years! 🔴 CLARIFICATION! I said the bake includes "2012" iMacs, but that does NOT include the "tapered edge LATE 2012 iMacs." (Special thanks to the first Commenter for point that out.) My iMac is a late 2009 model. I know the oven bake works for 2010 through 2011 models because of reading success stories in the Comments under my 2 bake videos, not from my firsthand experience with those models. (The 2011 models were sold in 2012 up through October which is why I inadvertently said "2012" in my video.) Also note that the inside of my 2009 model is similar but not 100% the same as the inside of 2010 and 2011 models, so please work inside those newer 2010-2011 models with utmost care. To repeat, you cannot do the bake on tapered edge LATE 2012 and newer iMacs because the video card is soldered and therefore NOT REMOVABLE.

This is not a slight against Mr. R. who I otherwise regard very highly for his excellent videos and repair services. I mention this only to combat the false contention that the bake either doesn't work or won't last. It is also my defense against those who have called me a liar. My 2.5 years of continued use after a bake disproves that contention completely, as do the hundreds of success stories you read in the comments from people who otherwise would not have repaired their older iMac. The iMacs we're talking about are long out of warranty and considered obsolete by Apple. We owners of older iMacs therefore have nothing to lose by trying the bake. The hundreds commenters under my 2 videos prove that most people who try the bake find success. It's a reality that has nothing to do with me. It's just a fact.

👉 I update the text description monthly under My 3rd Bake Video to inform everyone how my iMac is doing. My 2nd Bake lasted 2 years and almost 9 months (until Mar. 21, 2020).
