Very excited to be able to present you with my first Zimbabwean Jit record! A style borne of Congolese rumba, Tanzanian guitar stylings and western pop, it was brought to moderate fame in the anglosphere by groups such as the Bhundu Boys (check out their "Hatisi Tose" - it's fantastic!) and the Four Brothers. John Chibadura is a lesser known staple of the genre, also having dabbled in folk and reggae over the years. There are four known records he made for the short-lived and scarce "Farayi Farayi" label out of Harare, this being one of them. The label says it was recorded at shed studios, which is either the best or worst studio name I've heard to date; I'll let you decide for yourself on that one!
