This was my (Kajsa) highlight last season.
Just as covid hit Europe I was out of reach for any news or media updates. The reason being I was on a journey towards the summit of the fifth highest peak in Europe. Kazbegi is located in Georgia, with a summit of 5054m above sea level and it was the highest altitude I've ever tried to reach.
With only a total of three days at our hands before the last flight would fly back to Stockholm, there was no room for altitude sickness or any other errors in our plan.
It ended up being my number one happening 2020 and I'm glad to share some parts of the journey with you here.
