Make a cute toddler (or adult) neck warmer || Easy and quick beginner-friendly knitting project

I made Max a neck warmer to this year’s cold season and he hasn’t stopped using it since! Then I decided to make several more to gift the toddlers living in a foster home close to us. They are perfect for little bodies that like to move with ease and want to stay warm!

You can make the neck warmers in any size in a couple of hours! This easy and short project is perfect for de-stashing or recycling your yarn. Make it in the summer (when the heat makes knitting-inspiration harder to find), or in cooler months for a fast warm piece you can use right away. Make neck warmers to tell your loved ones you’re thinking of them, as special-day gifts, or simply as a short project to keep busy as you find your next big one!

This tutorial is beginner- friendly, short and sweet, perfect for practicing a new trick like using double pointed needles (you can also use a magic loop for circular needles, see:    • Knitting Help - Simple Magic Loop  .

Skills needed:

Long- tail cast on
1 x 1 rib
Bind- off
Knitting with double-pointed needles (not necessary)
