Fives North American Combustion R&D Team will demonstrate the TwinBed™II Regenerative Combustion System. This system utilizes regenerative heat reclamation, which allows its user to achieve peak efficiencies by cycling between the two “twin” burners. While one burner is firing, the other burner is exhausting. During the firing cycle, the burner uses energy stored in the heat exchanger, to preheat the combustion air. During the exhaust cycle, the burner transfers energy from the products of combustion in the furnace to its heat exchanger. Low NOx mode can be enabled in this combustion system above autoigntion temperatures using an outboard injector that stages the combustion process.
