Launched in 2022, the Blue Future project (Building a Blue Future for Ecosystems and People on the East African Coast), aims to establish a sustainable Marine Protected Area in Nampula province, northern Mozambique, strengthen coastal resilience and improve the livelihoods of communities dependent on marine resources. The initiative focuses on sustainable fisheries, conservation of marine ecosystems and capacity building for local partners. It is implemented by WCS Mozambique Marine Program with the support of the government institutions, authorities and local partners.
