Episode 3 continues the same run straight into the WOODS — and the “greedy chef” build is still alive:
We start by playing it safe, then immediately go back to farming extra gold mid-fight once the Horror is one dish away from full.
The Woods throws more modifiers at us (including the moment where Sweet dishes drop to 0 hunger… which is terrifying… until it isn’t).
We pick up upgrades that push the deck toward a tighter 6-dish loop, including a huge shuffle-value spike (50% extra hunger on shuffle) and a recipe that scales over time (dish gains +20% hunger each turn).
We meet story characters (Merlin/Morgana arc) and hear about the thieving Púca — because apparently the Woods also comes with taxes AND pickpockets.
Then we walk into the Woods boss: Black Annis. She marches, she curses, she hides moves… and we still serve the full course and take the win.

We end the episode refining seasonings and looking for a better SOUR option before pushing forward.
