Personally I would love if city builders explored cultures like they do in strategy games. Age of Empires has Rise of the Rajas, why not a 'Malay Kingdoms City Builder' that dealt with Majapahit and the rest of Southeast Asia? I know an India city builder has been asked for frequently.
