Try finding a needle in a haystack. That is how hard it is to find a K code XY Fairmont with factory WHITE TRIM, GS Rallye Pack and mostly original paint!

This all matching numbers XY has only done 94,961 miles since new and comes with the original LOG BOOKS and owners manuals. The original owner retained the XY from 1971 until 2019 when it was purchased by the 2nd custodian. Unbelievably, the XY retains it's ORIGINAL PAINT (except for new paint on the bonnet and tops of front guards due to stone chips). It's been rust proofed from new and religiously garaged. So other than the touch ups she's all original including in the door jams, engine bay and boot. With nil rust and never any damage, this is XY is a glamour.

Venture inside and you are taken aback by the super rare factory ordered all white trim, GS dash, gauges and steering wheel. This is a rarely seen combo in a 1971 model XY Ford. Take a closer look. The crash pad is stunning. As is the hood lining and the T-Bar Console.

The underside is like new with all factory markings and paint dabs still in place after over 50 years. When you thought that was all, then wait till you drive this baby. She purrs like a kitten and gets up and goes like a rocket.

Mechanically, the current owner has recently rebuilt the T-Bar selector and serviced the FMX gearbox. He has also fitted new Bridgestone Supercat tyres to the factory ROH steel rim, replaced the head gaskets and hydraulic lifters and reconditioned the brake booster and master cylinder. He has also replaced the factory dual exhaust system including mufflers. Additional items replaced include the universals, pinion seal and passenger side rear axle seal, replacement of suspension bushes, springs and shock absorbers and the fitting of a new battery and reconditioned alternator.

The XY was last fully serviced in August 2024 with a full grease and oil change including brake fluid change. The K code comes with log books, owners manuals, receipts and two sets of keys.

Ford built very few K code Fairmonts and this XY GS is an unique well optioned and documented example. Definitely a ONE OFF example that you will be very proud to own!
