They are looking around in disbelief. Listening to the birds sing… the green grass… the blue sky… it’s heaven. Other now safe horses galloping to greet them, the way they leap to freedom and race to green grass or step back in awe and drink it all in…
Just mere hours before when these clips were filmed they were crammed in a kill pen waiting to die. Now they are in an environment that screams life and vitality.

Thanks to you we saved every horse in the pen today.
Thanks to you NONE of these horses are shipping to slaughter.
Thanks to you CCR remains the greatest rescue ever.

*Jimmy asked to help unload the horses at quarantine. He hopes you can see him smiling proudly. He said, “can you tell people that having gone from working inside the slaughter holding facility and watching them load for slaughter week after week, to volunteering with the rescue who could finally come along and save them ALL, is the proudest moment of my life. Thank you to all the donors who make it possible.
The girls are coming, and the workers know. CCR gives us all something good to believe in and to want to change for.”
For the men like Cody and Jimmy who for 20+ years have had to watch these horses ship with no other possible option because it was the life they were born and raised into— this is a trumpet sounding of hope, faith and love.
