Improving Customer Experience at Kenya's Courts: Customer Service Week 2022

Описание: UNODC has been supporting the Judiciary of Kenya to improve customer service delivery at court stations across the country.

Litigants and their family members make up the majority of those who visit the courts. Such court users stop by the customer care desks to seek help with court processes and enquire about the status of their cases. Other court users include the police, witnesses, advocates, prosecutors, probation officers, journalists and the general public.

Customer Service Week 2022 was an opportunity to reflect on the progress made to improve the customer experience at Kibera Law Courts in Nairobi which borders one of the largest informal settlements in Africa.

UNODC and the Judiciary are among the partners participating in the Programme for Legal Empowerment and Aid Delivery in Kenya (PLEAD). This European Union-funded partnership is improving the delivery of justice services, settlement of disputes and use of alternatives to imprisonment. One aim is to enhance access to justice in Kenya, especially for the poor and vulnerable.
