Last aerial shot to release this week, and indeed on my birthday.
A rather warm day and warm light filling the sky over Los Angeles. Fairly calm downtown as you can see peering along each street. The light and haze make the landscape feel like it flows out into nothing, but if you look close you can make out Griffith Observatory in the hills. Perhaps my favorite aspect of filming from this side of the city is the somewhat hypnotic reflections you get in the windows on a few buildings. A glimmer and glisten with a slight distortion on reality. When up close, particularly from the sky, it's absolutely mesmerizing.
Best if watched in a dark or dimmed room on a large 4K or 8K display with a refresh rate that handles 24fps well. Enjoy.
