Paul, who later went solo and used to present (was a VJ) for MTV, also played piano. Mike (sometimes credited as Mick) did synths and composed too, and played with the band Dexys for a bit. 🎶
Though Paul was born in Ireland, he and some of the band are based in Coventry, previously as a rock-ska band called The Reluctant Stereotypes. 🎶😎

Perhaps Enya had heard of the band and the song at the time, although maybe she was too busy in the studio herself. ☺️🎼🎹

I like how 80s yet original in its approach the song is, and still great to listen to 40 years later! 😁🎶

As for actual love and pride, I discovered the song during this Pride Month (June 2025) which was nice 😊
Since celebrations tend to continue later on, so do Pride ones, haha. This year's one in Donegal (Letterkenny Pride 🏳️‍🌈) takes place in a month's time, in August. Enya's sister Moya is a featured artist; they are certainly supportive.
