The Bevel shaving system implements best practices from wet shaving or traditional shaving. While these products are sold in a set, they are not the only option. You can use the Bevel system with other shaving products such as shaving creams, double edge safety razors, aftershaves, blades, and shaving brushes.

Bevel's biggest selling point is helping men with curly facial hair (typically black men) that often experience ingrown hairs as a result of using cartridge razors. By using a system like Bevel, or any thorough traditional shaving regiment, you can minimize razor burn, razor bumps, irritation, ingrown hairs, and shaving-related acne.

When using the Bevel system, or any other wet shaving techniques, I recommend taking sufficient time to build a proper lather - whether you use a shaving cream or soap. A good lather will help your razor glide over your skin, which reduces irritation from multiple blades. You should also only use one blade to shave with a double edge or safety razor. It's okay to make multiple passes when shaving so that you get a closer, longer lasting, shave.
