We hiked the three night four day backpack trail that runs along the Olifantsriver in the Kruger National Park. We hiked it middle of August 2024 and the weather was perfect. A bit hot midday around 28 degrees but cooler at night.
Met a lovely couple Ron and Sydney from Washington DC. We were told by Vusi that we were not allowed to discuss politics, religion or sex during the trip to respect everybody. Well, needless to say we broke the first rule within 2 hours of knowing Ron and Sydney. Sydney works for the governor of Oregon and Gerber loves American politics so he was in his element during the entire trip chatting away with Ron and Syd.
Saw another beautiful sunset on night 2 over the Olifantsriver with a hippo crossing the river during the sun setting.
