FOR SALE is a very rare 1963 Austin Mini Panel Wagon. It was owned by the owner of a very high end restoration shop in Monterey, CA. The shop's name is Antique Auto Restoration located on the same street as we are. His name was Randy and he has been in business for over 40 years restoring cars at the highest level. This Mini Cooper was a car he restored in 1993 and drove for about 5,xxx Miles. After that it sat in his garage for over 20 years. Unfortunately he passed away unexpectedly less than a year ago, and the family decided to sell it because it kept bringing back a lot of emotions.

In the 1990s Randy purchased this vehicle as a rolling shell from Mini Mania. He had a passion for these Mini Coopers so he built this one to keep for himself. He was known for high craftsmanship and it leaves no doubt that the work was done professionally. All the parts came from Mini Spare and a few other reputable companies. All the records I have are available. It has a modified 1275cc engine paired with a short gear ratio 4-Speed Transmission. The engine was tuned beautifully and this vehicle is very zippy. It has Cooper S front Disk brakes and rear drums. When we picked it up we had given it a good check up since it sat for so long. We replaced the carburetor, water pump, thermostat, plugs, wires, cap, master cylinder, clutch cylinder and a few miscellaneous hoses. Mechanically it runs and drives great. The ride is zippy and fun. The motor is very healthy, sounds great and has plenty of power.Transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. There are no unusual drivetrain or suspension noises. All suspension and steering components are in proper working order. Clutch and brakes feel great. Everything should be working and it doesn’t seem to leak anything.

The current condition of this vehicle is as shown in the photos and video. The interior of this vehicle has 30 year old paint that has held up very nicely. While the paint is old, most of it still looks very good. The interior is in excellent condition. This mini has little to no real rust. There is one small bubble next to the passenger door besides that I would say it's rust free. Check out the video and see for yourself.
