Obor adalah haiwan laut yang mempunyai badan lutsinar dengan sesungut yang mengandungi sel penyengat. Mereka ditemui di lautan di seluruh dunia, dari perairan tropika hingga perairan sejuk. Walaupun obor tidak mempunyai otak, ia boleh bergerak dengan menggerakkan badan mereka dan menggunakan arus laut. Sesetengah spesies obor boleh menyengat manusia, menyebabkan kerengsaan kulit atau tindak balas yang lebih serius.
