EVER HAD HOT RICE HALO HALO? Well it is called binignit in many Bisaya areas, but here in Maguindanao it has a different name, and a few different ingredients!
On this day I make my way to Cotabato City. Along the way, I stop by at my favorite snack stands by the Pink Mosque. There always seems to be something new to enjoy with my local friends here in Datu Saudi Ampatuan... and well, I loved experiencing their warm rice merienda!
This area of Mindanao is still going through tough times, but having lived here for ten years and with many friends along the way, I am comfortable in my exploration and interaction here. Please do be guided to not travel alone or without local friends who you know well here.
I love visiting this Pink Mosque... so beautiful and so many inspiring moments with locals!
