Chapter 75 of the Tao Te Ching identifies the fundamental reasons why we sometimes feel burdened by life.
Lao Tzu argues that the reason people starve is because rulers collect too many taxes, and the reason governing is difficult is because rulers interfere too much.
Wayne Dyer interprets this in a modern way, warning that "excessive interference and greed rob us of the vitality of life." The message is not to force things, but to cherish life itself.
