The University of L’Aquila (Italy) has officially announced fully funded PhD positions open to Italian and international candidates for the academic year 2025–2026.

🔬 Available PhD Programs & Research Areas

1️⃣ Industrial Engineering, Information Engineering & Economics (2 positions)
✔️ AI applications for reliability of complex electrical systems
✔️ Sustainable recovery of critical raw materials from batteries, e-waste & industrial waste
🎓 Funded by Terna S.p.A. and MASE-BATMAN Project

2️⃣ Experimental Medicine (1 position)
✔️ Study of micro- and macro-elements with nutraceutical interest for human health
🎓 Co-funded by ITQSA Consortium

💰 Scholarship Details

💶 €16,243 per year (gross)
⏳ Duration: 3 years (starting 1 March 2026)
✈️ +50% increase for study periods abroad (up to 12 months)
🔬 Additional research budget: Minimum 10% of scholarship
